2004 Winners

Club Champion: Hayley Bryan: Overall contribution and resulsts at Southern Champs, Indoors and ESAA swung this one.

 

Track & Field: Stephen Nation-Grainger: We felt he produced qualityperformances across the board in running, Jumps and throws, and Multi-events.

 

Outstanding Achievement (Dave Lord Trophy): Martyn Elkins: smashed a number of records both Under 15 and Under 17 last year as well as success in AAA and ESAA Champs.

 

Endurance (Roy Smith): Harriett Hughes: Consistantly been our best performer from SEAA XC last January, County 3000M success to 3rd place at SW XC in Exeter in December.

 

Over 11 Improver: Jack Farrow: On Long Jump, 200M, 800M and XC has really worked very hard and has reaped the rewards.

 

Endeavour Over 11: Tom Grevatt: Always prepared to fill in to help the team a real clubman, richly deserved.

 

Over 11 Newcomer: Boy Edward Moyse (impressive performances in particular in the Triple Jump) Girl Elizabeth Gourlay: All round performancers in track and Sportshall.

 

Under 11 Champion: Andrew Clayton. Astonding 1.49 min  600M performance at the Wessex YAL (A huge club record for sure if maintained such records for this age).

 

Under 11 Newcomer: Emily Francis Girl (For performances on XC, Sporthall and Track.) Adam Wright Boy, (for hard work and impressive performances on Track and Sportshall.)

 

Under 11 Endeavour: James Wright, has really worked hard in training and is now being rewarded in XC and Sportshall events.. Girls: Rebecca Pape, has again worked very hard and is now reaping the benefits in Track and Sportshall.

 

Sprints and Hurdles:

Lizzie Nation-Grainger Girls: Hurdles performances including ESAA and AAA Champs.

Edward Preston: Success in both Sprint and Longer Hurdles last Summer.

 

Throws:

Amy Kelly Girls: 2nd nationally in Shot

Andrew Elkins:Consistant performances in Discus and Javelin as 1st year U13.

 

Jumps:

Boys Richard Reeks: 1.95M High Jumps and Club Record Long Jump

Girl Lizzie Guscott: Excellent performances in Long Jump during 2004

 

Middle Distance:

Girl Kathryn Lewer: County Chamionship result and new record of 2.36M for Under 13's

Boys: Andrew Smith. Smashed PB to reach 2.08 over 800M Consistantly high performances in 2004
