members of athletes giving up their free time to give athletes
of all
ages the chance to excel in their chosen disciplines.

British & European
Biathle Championships 2008
Africa Mason, Melissa Courtney & Grace Howie all won medals
At Salford Quays in Manchester (Sunday, 3rd August).
Melissa won Youth B Girls (U17) 1k run/200m swim/1k run
Grace Howie won Youth C Girls (15) 500m run/100m swim/500m
run with Africa Mason 2nd
They all now qualify to represent GB in South Africa at the
end of October 2008.
Melissa and Africa competed in the British Triathlon Youth
Aquathlon competition the previous weekend in Bryn Bach Tredegar
South Wales 550m swim and 2.5K run where Melissa finished 1st
and Africa 2nd which gave both girls good experience in triathlon
competitions |

of England Senior/U20 Championships

Melissa Courtney made her Crystal Palace debut with a gold
medal at the South of England Championships, taking the U17
3000m title in 10:04.51
U-15 Team-mates Grace Howie fourth in a time of 10:24.57 and Shelby Haysom
sixth 10:54.31 both achieving a personal best. |
